LOLETA / CA – MAY 7, 2020: The Bear River Band of the Rohnerville Rancheria and Bear River Casino Resort located in Loleta, California donated $2,000 to help support The Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation and Food for People. The Tribe recognizes the importance of these organizations and the crucial roles they play in our community, especially during these difficult times:

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, both the Tribe and Casino have developed community support initiatives designed to help those that are most affected. They have delivered pizzas to essential businesses with pizzas purchased from local establishments, donated meals to Tribal Members and made donations to local organizations.
The donations made to Food for People and The Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation will be used to help continue their efforts to feed community members. Bear River is proud to call Humboldt our home and family and looks forward to continuing to serve our community.
UPDATE 4/6/20: BEAR RIVER CASINO RESORT DELIVERS FOOD TO ESSENTIAL WORKERS
Bear River Casino Resort made surprise pizza deliveries from Funky Monkey’s in Fortuna on Monday, April 6th to the Fortuna Grocery Outlet, Green’s Pharmacy, Redwood Memorial Hospital and the Fortuna Fire Department. We will continue to deliver pizzas to essential workers each week throughout the month of April. All the pizzas will be purchased at local establishments in an effort to support local businesses.
We want to show our appreciation to our local heroes: medical professionals, first responders, military and essential staff. We are grateful and humbled by your acts of service during these unprecedented times. We are proud to call Humboldt our home and family and look forward to continuing to serve our community.

The Tribe is continually monitoring updates on COVID-19 from The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), The World Health Organization (WHO), The National Institutes of Health (NIH), as well as Local, State, and Federal Governments and will reopen operations when it is considered safe to do so.
The following Bear River enterprises will remain closed: Bear River Casino, Hotel, Thirsty Bear Lounge, Rivers Edge Restaurant, and Express Café. In an effort to continue to serve the Tribal Community and local community by offering some basic necessities, the Pump and Play Gas Station and Convenience Store, as well as the Bear River Tobacco Traders drive thru will continue operations. Hours for the Pump and Play Convenience Store are 8am-10pm daily and 24/7 for the Pump and Play Fuel Pumps. The Bear River Tobacco Traders drive thru is open 8am-9pm Monday-Saturday and 10pm-8pm on Sunday.
